In The Mix – Can We Do More Together? 13th May Workshop

We are all facing huge challenges to support the communities we serve – across a very wide range of issues – Welfare Reform, Fuel Poverty, Digital Inclusion, Jobs and Training, Financial Inclusion, Regeneration and Low Carbon!

Greg England talks here about a conversation we are hosting on the morning of May 13th at United Welsh offices in Caerphilly.

All partners who share common cause are invited to join this workshop. Over 60 organisations and 120 delegates have already confirmed attendance – its not too late to join – email Dionne on djaye@uwha.co.uk or ring on 02920 858111.

To help understand the specific challenges our partners are facing we are inviting those coming to take a brief online survey on this link – . It will help us to make this interactive event responsive to your needs.

We will be starting at 10.30 and closing for lunch at 12.30 where networking will continue over a buffet lunch (provided by our social enterprise partners Vision 21

Amy shows us how it’s done

The residents at the Gwern Las Living Plus scheme in Abertillery have recently formed a Computer Club, with help from the Community Investment Team and Novas Scarman, where they can pick up hints and tips to help them access the internet.

Amy has shown that age is no barrier to learning new skills, at 98 she has been one of the first to get stuck in!

Amy has been surfing the net, looking for recipes and catching up with gardening programmes on BBC iplayer.

We’ll keep you posted as Amy and the other residents develop their online skills.
