Helsinki SB11 – 17th October
After a 4 hour flight delay from Heathrow, I arrived in Helsinki at about 9pm local time. I ended up sharing a cab from the airport with an academic from Toronto, and got straight into a discussion about Passivhaus and the low thermal mass of timber frames. I think I managed to convince not only the academic, but rather more impressively myself, that I was an authority on the matter. So begins 5 days of mustard cutting with Professors, Deans and Doctors on building physics….am hopeful my “A” Level 20+ years ago was not in vain!!!!
Registration is today, and rather coincidentally, there is a Nordic Passive House conference already in full swing. Keen to find out if any of the delegates has heard of the Larch House and Lime House in Ebbw Vale…maybe there’s a guest speaker slot beckoning somewhere….
